The hands of a Sunfish is better built and more robust. It also costs more often. If you stay in a lake, or it is simply great. A broad, open bay, open water or other risks more to go better with the sunfish.
I agree with John. I've learned to sail and later ran a sunfish. This would be a better boat if you wish to participate. You can still be an adult.
